Before You Book – A Quick Read to Ensure a Great Experience
Thank you for choosing Superb Salon for your next hair experience. We're delighted to welcome you! To ensure your visit runs smoothly, we’ve outlined a few important details below. It’s a short read, but essential for helping us deliver the best possible service.
Appointments & Availability
Can’t find a time slot that works for you? Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. We’ll do our best to accommodate you. You deserve nothing but the best.
Booking Confirmation
To help us manage our schedule efficiently, we kindly ask that you confirm your appointment at least 48 hours in advance.
Your Appointment
Every client and every hairstyle are unique, so it can be difficult to estimate exactly how long your appointment will take. Factors such as hair texture, length, thickness, and style complexity may all affect timing. To avoid any scheduling conflicts, we recommend not booking any urgent appointments on the same day as your visit.
While your stylist will focus on your service, there may be brief moments where they need to step away to assist another client. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Pricing & Custom Styles
The prices listed on our website reflect standard styles. Final pricing may vary depending on your chosen style and the time required. If your hair needs extra care or you’re after a bespoke look, please contact us on WhatsApp at 079 400 67632 for a personalised quote.
Deposits & Rescheduling
A £20 deposit is required to secure your booking. If you need to reschedule or cancel, we’re happy to transfer or refund your deposit, provided we receive at least 48 hours’ notice.
Running Late?
We understand life happens! If you're running late, please contact us on 079 400 67632. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or cancelled. In such cases, your deposit will unfortunately be forfeited. This policy helps us remain fair to all clients and maintain an efficient schedule.
Health & Safety
To give your hairstyle extra hold and a flawless finish, we may treat the ends with hot water, especially for braids and twists. We’ll talk you through the process beforehand and follow all safety measures. Please remain calm throughout to avoid accidents.
If you have a sensitivity or phobia of hot water, kindly let us know before booking, so we can suggest a suitable style that does not require this method.
For colour appointments, we recommend wearing appropriate clothing, as dyes can occasionally stain. While we take great care, we cannot be held liable for any damage to garments.
Hair Preparation
If you haven’t had time to wash your hair, we’re happy to provide a cleansing service at the salon for a small additional charge. Please also note that we’re unable to accommodate extra guests or pets unless they are booked in for a treatment.
Styling Assistance
For certain styles, especially braiding, your stylist may require assistance in handing over extensions during the appointment. If you're unable to assist, we’re happy to provide a team member to support, but please note an additional £20 fee may apply.
Hair Type Considerations
If your hair is particularly thick, long, or shorter than 4 inches, please let us know in advance. Additional time and charges may apply to ensure we provide the best quality of service.
Children’s Appointments
We love working with children, but to ensure a comfortable and safe experience, we only accept clients aged 7 and above.
Hair Extensions
We use our own high-quality extensions for braiding, which incur an additional fee depending on your chosen style. If you prefer to bring your own, please ensure they are pre-pulled and ready to use.
Personal Belongings
While we do our best to create a safe and welcoming environment, we cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged personal items. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Your Satisfaction Matters
We take great pride in the quality of our work and want every client to leave feeling confident and happy. If you're not completely satisfied with your service, please let us know within 48 hours so we can address your concerns and make things right.
Please note that our stylists cannot be held responsible for any issues resulting from improper removal or aftercare of your hairstyle.
BRAID AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for trusting us with your hair! To help your natural hair stay healthy and avoid issues like tangling, breakage, or matting, please follow these important aftercare steps.
Washing Your Braids
You can wash your braids gently using diluted shampoo (mix shampoo with water in a bottle)
Focus on your scalp. Gently rub with your fingertips.
Rinse thoroughly and follow up with a light conditioner or leave-in spray.
Do not scrub or rub your braids harshly; this can cause frizz and tangling.
Moisturising
Use a braid spray or light oil 2–3 times a week to keep your scalp and natural hair moisturised.
Avoid heavy products that cause build-up.
Night Care
Always sleep with a silk or satin scarf/bonnet or use a satin pillowcase to reduce friction and frizz.
You can also tie your braids into a loose bun or wrap for extra protection.
IMPORTANT: Removing Your Braids
When it’s time to take out your braids (usually 4–8 weeks max)
Gently remove the braids one by one.
Detangle each section with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb BEFORE washing.
This is very important! Shed hair and product buildup can cause tangles and matting.
Once fully detangled, you can wash your hair with shampoo and deep condition.
REMEMBER:
Neglecting to detangle your hair before washing it after braids can lead to severe tangling and hair breakage. This is not a result of the braiding service but of improper take-down technique.
If you have questions or need help with take-down or treatment, I offer professional detangling and deep conditioning services. Just message me to book!
Thank you for reviewing our policies. We look forward to welcoming you at Superb Salon and helping you leave feeling confident, refreshed, and looking your absolute best.
